Don’t Tell My Wife Stables was formed to allow individuals the opportunity to participate in affordable thoroughbred ownership and introduce them to the pageantry, thrills and excitement that thoroughbred racing brings.

Our private stable is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and has brought over 140 new member owners to the industry.  We compete at racetracks such as Del Mar, Santa Anita Park, Keeneland, Churchill Downs, Fair Grounds, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course.

Our full time trainer and bloodstock agent is J. Keith Desormeaux, who has successfully selected and trained thoroughbreds for over 28 years, including 2016 Preakness Stakes Champion Exaggerator, 2023 Kentucky Derby colt Confidence Game, 2018 Kentucky Derby colt My Boy Jack, 2015 Breeders' Cup colt Swipe, 2016 Grade 1 winning filly Decked Out, 2022 Kentucky Oaks filly Candy Raid, 2014 Breeders' Cup filly Danette, 2014 Breeders Cup Juvenile Champion Texas Red, and many other Stakes winners.  Keith is a true old school horseman who is extremely talented, honest, always puts the horse first, and gives his horses the best care and training possible.

Our team has over 65 years’ experience in the racing business, we invest our own money in all LLC partnerships, and we are committed to excellence, integrity, and being responsible owners.

Yearling & 2 year old partnerships: we buy yearlings at Keeneland or 2 year-olds in training at the Ocala Breeders Sale that have the pedigree and physical confirmation to compete at the highest levels of racing.  We then campaign them in their 2 year old year of racing and beyond.  Capitalization is typically in the $150,000 to $500,000 range and expenses are paid by each LLC.  Past experience has proven you can acquire high quality racing prospects at this level that have the potential to compete on the bigger stage.
